The Boswellia serrata species of Frankincense is known for its warm, resinous, and gently balsamic aroma. Its fragrance carries a soft sweetness with woody undertones that create a soothing and grounded atmosphere. The resin pieces are typically pale yellow to creamy beige, offering a clean, elegant aesthetic that makes this variety a beautiful addition to any incense blend or ritual practice.
Frankincense resin is one of the world’s most important tree resins. Its sweet, rich scented smoke has been used religiously, ceremonially, and spiritually cross-culturally for ages. Traditionally it is used for sacred offerings, energetic alignment, healing, meditation, and much more.
Many of the ecological practices, economic impacts, and cultural traditions surrounding the harvesting of Frankincense trees are in danger. More often than not, Frankincense is sourced unsustainably. Therefore, it is important to support the eco-friendly, sustainable trade of this powerful and symbolic ancient incense resin.
